About Jonathan
I've spent the last fifteen years at the intersection of marketing, technology, and leadership — building growth engines for brands that range from venture-backed unicorns to Fortune 500 portfolios to state government.
My path hasn't been linear, and that's by design. I started in web development at IBM, detoured through photojournalism at Mizzou, digitally transformed Missouri state government, launched eight D2C stores for the parent company of Smith & Wesson, and built an entire eCommerce division from scratch at a $3.7 billion startup. Each chapter sharpened a different edge.
Today I split my time between leading cross-channel growth strategy for national CPG brands at OMG Commerce, advising B2B and SaaS companies on customer acquisition, and teaching Digital Customer Experience at the University of Missouri. I also serve as an LP and advisor with Redbud VC, guiding pre-seed founders from ideation to market entry.

I serve as the strategic quarterback for a portfolio of national CPG and D2C brands at one of the country's top performance marketing agencies. My role spans owning client relationships, leading Strategic Business Reviews with CMO and founder-level stakeholders, and coordinating cross-channel execution across Google, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, and email. I translate complex performance data into clear strategic implications and action plans — the kind that get buy-in in the boardroom and results in the dashboard.

When I joined this YC-backed construction technology startup — valued at $3.7 billion — there was no eCommerce operation. I built it from zero. Within 18 months we hit 7-figure ARR through affordable customer acquisition. I designed an SMS-powered CRM funnel that delivered a 500% lift in B2B revenue and 3X'd sales efficiency. I also built an internal uniform distribution platform serving 300+ locations and 5,000 employees.
